The topics will relate to the big questions we currently face regarding the labour market and other related issues. All meetings will take place in Grand Hótel and will start at 16:30.June 4th – National Consensus and the Development of Inequality in Iceland– Stefán Ólafsson, Professor of SociologyJune 11th – Equality-led development and the role of trade unions – Özlem Onaran, Professor of Economics at the University of Greenwich – The meeting will be in English but simultaneous on-screen translation will be provided.June 19th – Can the Pension Funds Develop a Rental Market in Iceland? Execution, Financial Opportunities and Effect on the National Economy.– Ólafur Margeirsson, economistEach talk will be followed by a panel discussion, where the moderator will take questions from the room.
