The opening hours of the Efling office will be extended as a trial on Wednesdays until 6 pm in December and January. The extended opening hours are intended for members who find it inconvenient, due to work, to come to the office during the regular opening hours which are 8:15-16:00 pm on weekdays.The extended opening will be from 4 pm to 6 pm on Wednesdays. It will apply to three Wednesdays in December and four in January:December 4 2019December 11 2019December 18 2019January 8 2020January 15 2020January 22 2020January 29 2020The full services of the union will not be provided. Instead, it will be prioritized to offer service to members who wish to speak with a rights and employment terms officer (kjaramálafulltrúi). It will be possible to hand in applications to the education and sickness funds but not for sickness benefits (sjúkradagpeningar).The effects of the trial will be evaluated at the end of January, with the aim to continue and introduce changes, if such are needed.
