Electronic voting will begin at 13.00 on Wednesday, 22 April 2020.Electronic voting will end at 16.00 on Monday, 27 April 2020.Vote hereElectronic voting will begin on 22 April 2020 at 13:00 for the proposal of strike action by the members of Efling Labor Union who work for the municipalities of Hverðagerði, Kópavogur, Mosfellsbær, Seltjarnarnesbær and Ölfus.The proposed strike action will cover the Efling members who work for the above municipalities per the collective agreement between Efling and these municipalities, which expired on 31 March 2019. The proposed strike covers all work performed under this agreement.This is an indefinite work stoppage and will begin on Tuesday, 5 May 2020 at 12:00.Efling members who work at the municipalities of Hverðagerði, Kópavogur, Mosfellsbær, Seltjarnarnesbær and Ölfus have a right to vote on this proposal.If there is any Efling member who believes they have a right to vote but does not have access to the ballot, they are welcome to contact Efling before the end of the voting period and be registered to cast a vote, provided they are able to submit all necessary documents.Reykjavík, 20 April 2020The Voting CommissionEfling Labor Union

Work Stoppage Propposal
In a meeting of the negotiation committee of Efling Labor Union with the Association of Icelandic Municipalities held on 20 April 2020 at 13:00 via teleconference, an agreement was made to have a vote on the organisation of workplaces in accordance with Article 15 of Act 80/1938 on Trade Unions and Labor DisputesNegotiations between Efling and the Association of Icelandic Municipalities on behalf of the members of Efling have proved innefective, despite the presence of a State Mediator. A verbal statement classifying these meetings as unsuccessful was given at a meeting with the State Mediator on 21 February 2020.There are two proposals for the organisation of workplaces:
- Work stoppage of members working for the municipalities in elementary schools.
The work stoppage includes members of Efling who work in elementary schools in the municipalities of Kopavogur, Seltjarnarnes, Mosfellsbær, Hverðigerði and Ölfus according to the agreement between Efling Labor Union and the Association of Icelandic Municipalities which expired on 31 March 2019. The work stoppage covers all work done under the above agreement in elementary schools.
- Work stoppage of members working for the municipalities outside of elementary schools
The work stoppage includes members of Efling who work in workplaces other than elementary schools in the municipalities of Kopavogur, Seltjarnarnes, Mosfellsbær, Hverðigerði and Ölfus according to the agreement between Efling Labor Union and the Association of Icelandic Municipalities which expired on 31 March 2019. The work stoppage covers all work done under the above agreement in workplaces other than elementary schools.The work stoppage will begin and members will quit work indefinately from 12:00 on Tuesday 5 May 2020.
