Members of Efling can purchase a voucher worth ISK 30,000 that can be used when booking a service with Icelandair. The price for one voucher is ISK 20,000 for Efling’s members – so members can save a decent amount. The vouchers are sold in Efling’s offices. They can also be purchased by sending an e-mail to orlofssjodur@efling. The e-mail should include the name and social security number (kennitala) of the buyer.
The vouchers are valid for two years and cannot be returned after purchase.
Using the voucher: When purchasing a service on Icelandair’s website, enter the voucher code. ISK 30,000 will then be deducted from the total price.
When you buy an Icelandair voucher, 10 points are deducted from your points.
Note that the voucher cannot be used to cover taxes when using Saga points to pay for an airfare.
There are a limited number of vouchers available. Each member can only purchase one voucher every 12 months.
The right to grants/refunds from the Recreational Fund is based on
• Contributions must have been paid to the fund for the previous six consecutive months and members must have enough points.
• Members who receive pension or disability pension can purchase vouchers for two years after retirement (as with rights to other funds) if they have enough points.
