On our next Drop-Inn on March 11 at 10am, there will be a practical discussion for people who have been on partial benefits/hlutabætur at Vinnumálastofnun. Halldór Oddsson, ASÍ lawyer, will speak about what rules apply on priority rehirings for those who worked at a company before, in cases where the company got public layoff support. At the end there will be a short discussion on the so-called hiring grants available to companies, and which will probably become a hot topic this spring.The lecture will be streamed live on the Efling Facebook page and will be available there afterwards. It will be in Icelandic with English subtitles.The Drop-Inn is a weekly educational lecture for Efling members and others who are interested. They are designed for those looking for a job and others who are available on Thursday mornings at 10am. Due to the current circumstances, the events will be online until the Efling office reopens.
