Efling Trade Union is the host of an open meeting in Gerðuberg on Saturday October 27 about violations of contracts and law on the Icelandic labor market, including human trafficking and other forms of abuse. María Lóa Friðjónsdóttir, specialist in workplace inspection at ASÍ, will give a presentation followed by testimonies by Efling members who experienced labor violations. There will be Q&A from the audience as well.The meeting starts at 14:30 and is open to all. There will be cake and coffee at the end of the meeting, which will be over no later than 16:00. As usual there is free childcare available at the Gerðuberg library (registration required — see below). The meeting will be live streamed on Efling’s Facebook page. There will be live on-screen interpretation during the meeting.
