Education grants from Starfsafl for individuals were increased at the turn of the year. The increase applies to invoices issued after 1 January 2026. As of 1 January 2026, updated rules on individual grants take effect as follows: This accumulated entitlement applies to one continuous programme of study or course, in accordance with the fund’s detailed rules. Starfsafl is the vocational education and training fund of Efling – The Union, the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise, Verkalýðsfélagið Hlíf, and the Keflavík and Surroundings General Workers’ and Seamen’s Union.
