The International Trade Union Council expresses its solidarity with Efling members on strike in Reykjavík city. “It is not okay that you do such valuable work for the community, and you’re paid poverty wages. Every worker deserves to be paid to live in dignity and to have their work valued,” says Sharan Burrow, the ITUC general secretary, in a video message. “We’re proud of you, we know that you deserve just wages.”
