Length : Total 17 lessons
Doorman training course for working doormen and those who plan to work in doormanship. The course is also suitable for hotel and restaurant staff who work night shifts. The course is taught in English.
The course is held in collaboration with Mímir Lifelong Learning, the City of Reykjavík, and the Metropolitan Police and aims to enhance participants' skills in their work.
Course content includes the responsibilities and roles of doormen, fire safety, first aid, multiculturalism, self-defense, and an introduction to emergency services for victims of sexual violence.
Participants who complete the course can apply for a doorman's license, which is valid for three years, provided that the following conditions are met: being at least 20 years old and having no drug or violent offenses on their criminal record in the past five years.
Efling members can apply for a grant for course fees from Efling's educational fund.
