The tenant unions are holding a round‑table discussion on housing issues on May 2, upcoming, in the Grósku lecture hall, from 15:00 to 17:00. The candidates' proposals in Reykjavík are invited to the round‑table to answer questions about the candidates' policy in this important sector for the municipal elections on May 16. The event is open to the public.
Ragnar Þór Ingólfsson, Minister of Housing, will deliver an opening address and review how cooperation between the state and municipalities has previously solved housing crises. The speakers will be Guðmundur Hrafn Arngrímsson and Sigurður Stefánsson. It is estimated that the event will last about two hours and it will be recorded and is expected to be streamed on Vísi.
